Dear Professor Tamas,

I am delighted to hear that you are doing my farce For Whom the Bell Chimes in Budapest on the day after my 77th birthday! All the more since you have translated The Human Factor and Dr Fischer. As for the autobiographical volume based on Ways of Escape and A Sort of Life perhaps you would let me know how it is arranged and what it includes.

I would be very pleased to be at the first night in October in Budapest if its humanly possible. Perhaps we could discuss that later. I have been away in Israel therefore I have only just had your letter. I am afraid I may not catch you as I have to leave for London soon, but perhaps we could exchange letters again when you are back in Budapest.

With all good wishes
Yours ever

Graham Green
